OPEN-WATER BREASTSTROKE TO FRONT CRAWL CLINIC Suitable for water-confident Breaststroke swimmers & those who used to do Front Crawl, but need to re-set / refresh their stroke from the ground up COST: £37 + £2 booking fee. Includes expert coaching from nominated 'Best Swim Coach of the year 2025 STA', complimentary hot drink & homemade cake WHEN: SATURDAY 11, JULY 2026 | 9.30am-11.30am *Please arrive 10mins early* WHERE: LAKESIDE ADVENTURES, Hartlebury. DY11 7YJ WHO’S THIS CLINIC FOR: Water-confident Breaststroke swimmers who want to learn to convert their 'Breaststroke' into starting to swim effortless heads-down Front Crawl You need to be a fairly regular swimmer & be able to put your head in the water WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING: ESSENTIAL ITEMS Leak-proof googles Silicon swim cap Swimwear (Come dressed in your swimming kit & track-suit) Loose warm clothing (to do the dry side drills & to wear after your swim) Towel / dry-robe Thermos flask or insulated drinks holder (so we can minimise single use plastic) ITINERARY: THEORY: On land The theory behind swimming Front Crawl, breaking down each part of the stroke & explaining clearly & easily why / how it works / the 'physics' behind the 'why' / discussion / interactive drills on stroke mechanics / environmental factors of swimming outdoors / body biomechanics / safety equipment / how to use your equipment / limiting factors / demonstrations IN THE WATER: Become confident at getting your head in the water / relaxed breathing / floating / body position guided by your head / what side to breathe on / interactive drills / 'Coach & Athlete' drills so that each swimmer gets to become Coach & then reverse roles to become the swimmer / swimming basic Front Crawl REWARM & DEBRIEF: Warm up & ask questions around the fire-pit with complimentary hot drinks & cakes SAFETY: Courses are limited in nu, ensuring you have time to discuss any questions you have, so you'll leave with a boost in both your knowledge & practical skills, meaning that you can swim front crawl in open-water with greater confidence. We put your safety & wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, so joining you in the water or on the bank side will be a very experienced & qualified Open Water Lifeguard & cold-water swimmer TOW FLOATS: Optional ACCESSIBILITY: You need to be able to walk down a shallow ramp unaided
